Origen: Sudáfrica y sureste de Africa.

Es un arbusto muy resistente de fácil cultivo en regiones subtropicales y templadas. Puede alcanzar más de dos metros de altura.

Florece a finales de verano y en otoño.

Es de la familia de la menta y sus hojas han sido utilizadas en medicina tradicional como remedio para la fiebre, resfriados, dolores de cabeza, disentería, etc. También se dice que aleja las serpientes.

Se reproduce por semillas o esquejes.

Soporta sin problemas heladas débiles.

It´s a very hardy shrub very easy to grow in subtropical and warmer temperate climates. It grows to more than 2 metres high.

It´s a plant of the mint family and its leaves has been used in traditional medicine to treat fevers, headaches, coughs, dysentery and many other conditions. It´s said that keeps snakes away.

Propagation is by seeds or cuttings.

It withstands light frosts without problems.
