GUZMANIA "TORCH"
Origen: es un híbrido hortícola entre Guzmania lingulata y Guzmania conifera, nativa la primera de Centro y Sudamérica y la segunda de las selvas de Perú y Ecuador.
La inflorescencia dura muchos meses y persiste tras la aparición de las pequeñas flores de color amarillo (ver últimas dos fotos).
A pesar de su origen, este último invierno ha soportado sin ningún daño temperaturas cercanas a los 0ºC.

Origin: It´s an horticultural hybrid between Guzmania lingulata (native to Centre and Southamerica) and Guzmania conifera (native to jungles from Peru and ecuador).
Inflorescence lasts for many months even after the death of the little true flowers (see last two pictures).
In spite of its origin, this last winter has withstood without any damages temperatures near 0ºC (32º F).
