Origen: Suroeste de Australia

Esta perenne recibe el nombre de "pata de canguro" porque las flores recuerdan a la pata de ese animal. Hay varias especies. La más conocida es Anigozanthos flavidus, aunque en los últimos años se han popularizado muchos híbridos para jardinería y flor cortada. 

Suelen alcanzar entre 50 y 75 cm de altura y las flores tienen una textura aterciopelada.

La mayoría de las especies, una vez arraigadas, resisten la sequía y heladas débiles.

Se reproduce por división de mata o semillas.

This evergreen perennial receives this name because its flowers resemble the paw of this animal. There are many species. Most known is Anigozanthos flavidus although in recent years many hybrids have been produced for the cut-flowers industry and for gardening.

They usually grow to 50-75 cm tall and flowers have velvety texture.

Most species, once stablished, are drought resistant and withstand light frosts.

Propagation s by division or fresh seeds.
