LAS PRIMERAS HOJAS DEL HORRIDUS

THE FIRST LEAVES OF THE HORRIDUS

Desde la primera vez que vi un Encephalartos horridus hace casi seis años en un botánico de Lisboa supe que quería tener uno.

El ejemplar de Recregarden llegó desde Sudáfrica hace más de tres años éstas son las primeras hojas que echa.

En la última foto se puede apreciar muy bien en color gris azulado de las hojas en contrate con el verde de las hojas de una Cycas revoluta situada detrás.

Since I first met a Encephalartos horridus in a botanical in Lisbon nearly six years ago, I knew I wanted one.

The Recregarden specimen arrived more than three years ago and these are the first new leaves we have.

In the last picture you can see the bluish grey colour of the leaves contrasting with the green colour of the leaves of a Cycas revoluta that it´s behind it.
