Es un subarbusto perennifolio que forma matas que pueden alcanzar más de un metro de altura.

Se reproduce fácilmente por división de mata.

Soporta heladas débiles.

It´s a clump-forming evergreen subshrub that grows to more than one metre.

It´s an evergreen twining cilmber thats grows to 3 metres.

Drought resistant once stablished although it usually drops leaves.

Propagation is by seeds or cuttings.

Los guisantes silvestres tienen su origen en el Mediterráneo oriental, desde donde se han extendido por todo el mundo.

Son pequeñas plantas trepadoras con zarcillos de carácter anual que crecen de forma espontánea al final del invierno. 

Wild peas have its origin in the eastern Mediterranean region from where have spread worlwide.

They´re little climbing annual plants with tendrils that grows spontaneously al the end of winter.

Origen: Se trata de un amplio grupo de híbridos procedentes de cuatro especies del este de Asia. Son nombrados en honor del horticultor alemán Georg Arends.

Hay muchos cultivares con flores que van desde el blanco, pasando por el rosa, hasta el rojo.

Las altilbes no soportan el calor intenso, necesitan semisombra y mucha humedad en el suelo, soportando terrenos temporalmente encharcados.

Se propagan por división de mata.
