MANETTIA LUTEORUBRA (Sin. Manettia bicolor)

Origen: Sudamérica

Planta trepadora que puede alcanzar los 2 metros de altura. Florece en primavera y verano con pequeñas flores rojas y amarillas, de ahí su nombres científicos: bicolor y luteorubra (amarillo y roja)

Aún no ha pasado un invierno en Recregarden, así que no conozco de primera mano su resistencia al frío.

Common name: brazilian firecracker.

This twining climber reaches 2 metres in height.

It flowers in spring and summer with little flowers, red and tipped with gold, hence its scientific name (luteorubra means yellow and read).

I have not yet personal experience about its frost hardiness.
